The ATHU Culture Collection comprises two main algae groups, Prokaryotic (ATHU-CY) and Eukaryotic (ATHU-AL) and provides an expertise on isolation, cultivation and identification of novel strains and their further biotechnological exploitation.
It currently consists of >100 strains and it is constantly being enriched.
